No, we have a guest room with a second queen-bed! PLUS a full-sized sofa bed. And a big chair, but that probably won't be as comfortable.

Avoid the train, unless you like long waits. Especially don't expect travel between Sacramento and San Francisco to happen on schedule. Amtrak seems to feel that the schedule is just a suggestion and everybody has an extra 12 to 18 to 24 hours available.
