I'm very anti not doing the east coast, don't want to throw off the system. Hell, if it comes to it, I'll do a DC F2F.
If we do Durham, I suspect that a lot of people would/could drive, so I don't think that cars would be a big worry. I'm pretty sure that I would, it's only 5 hours from DC.
Also, if someone is hesitant to pimp their city because they're worried that they would have issues with the logistics, I happily offer my assistance in the planning, and you would be my minion just do the local stuff.

What she said. Chicago had localistas, but IIRC it was Jess and others outside who spearheaded. We can manage.
I've send out calls for info on Atlanta, FYI. We'll see what pops up.
Vortex, I am more than willing to sign on to that plan.
Okay, consider me part of Team Boston/Somerville for the F2F planning.
Woot! I've got to shower and get to an appointment, but I'll e-mail you later.
Thanks!
The online rfp for the Atlanta Convention and Visitors' Bureau wants "up to four years of meeting history," including dates, name of hotel, number of people and number of rooms actually used. Has anyone already put this kind of information together?
eta: It looks like Brenda and I need to coordinate our efforts.
Vortex, thanks for stepping up. I'm sorry I couldn't help more with the Boston thing, vw.
Heh, yep.
I sent that in with best guess numbers and dates. We shall see.

Oh, it's no problem. I'm sorry I made that assumption. I just hate to see Boston taken completely out of the running, you know?
Dang, I wanted to snag Vortex. I hear she's good on the phone...
They wanted meeting history in Durham, too, but not at that level of detail, yoicks. Though it would be good to have, if we have it.
