The logic on date-first was that only those people whose schedules would allow them to come on the chosen date would vote on city.
We don't need a quorum, so you don't need to vote present.
On the vote, I would strongly urge a preferential aspect for those you can attend, with no vote for dates you can't attend.
The only date that DOESN'T work for me is June 22-24, as Lea will likely be away at grad school.
I like the idea of either city; both places have things to do (for me, both fun stuff and professional stuff), people I care about, etc. And it's pretty much equal in flight times and costs.
All of those dates are still in NYC's school year (my WORD we go late!) so they're all the same for me. I assume we're skipping Memorial Day weekend on purpose?
Another thing with picking dates first -- at least in Boston, those first two and maybe three weekends are going to very difficult for hotel availability due to graduations.

Yeah. Holiday weekend makes it much more expensive to get anywhere on airplane, plus people usually have family obligations that weekend.

We'll dump that tea when we get there. :)
Of course, that would be a good reason to have it in Salem.
I don't think Salem's gonna have anything in our price range, hotel-room wise, unfortunately...
