Chinatown's wonderful when it's quiet, before the big shopping and tourist runs begin. I lived Russian Hill/North Beach from 1976 until August of 1978, and it saved my sanity and possibly my life.

Vortex is on her way with car. The house is as clean as I'm getting it right now. Fay's futon and brand new shiny foam topper for additional comfort is upstairs. I've unloaded Nic's Camry and everything except the perishable stuff is stacked in my catering supply shed, ready to get loaded. After that, off the get Fay.
I think I'm supposed to be having dinner with juliana and Vortex tonight, but I may pass in favour of getting the rest of the hospitality suite assemblage done, and taking Fay for a burrito at Pancho's.

Juliana, this is an awesome idea. A plan has taken shape with L for the day I think, (which I can bail on at any time) but are you free for lunch tomorrow? That way I can do this wander tomorrow and lunch with you, and then maybe after that, go check out the hospitaility suite in the afternoon before my dinner/jazz club plans. (which is also in north beach, I can't remember the name of the club though)
Also, Hec, I saw the sign for Citizen Cupcake when we were walking to Moscone this morning and was intrigued!
Should I drop by the HS on my way home from work tonight, just to see who's there? Or should I wait until tomorrow night?
(And what's the room #, if any, on the HS?)

The club would probably be one of the following: Jazz at Pearl's, The Condor, or Enrico's. Anything sound familiar? All of those are less than 3 blocks away from my place, BTW.

It's Pearl's. Man, I'd love to meet up with you afterward but we have a 10pm seating, it's with Tom's work folks, and I have a feeling that Tom will collapse quickly after, if not during the performance, which isn't pretty, ask JZ!
OK, awesome. Now I have a plan for today and tomorrow. Today, I think lunch with L and her dad, hopefully at Cafe Claude, and in the afternoon, the museums etc. at Golden Gate park.
Tomorrow, Hec's wander and lunch with juliiana, followed by a trip to the HS.
I'm at the salon right now getting my hair color done and the mop of ragweed that is my current haircut all cleaned up.
