Angel: You know, I killed my actual dad. It was one of the first things I did when I became a vampire. Wesley: I hardly see how that's the same situation. Angel: Yeah. I didn't really think that one through.

I got to see Victor and sj and her BF and Theo last night! It rocked!

Well except for the fact where Yahoo Maps gave me outdated directions and I got lost due to the construction going on and one of my tires went flat and I didn't know where I was to tell the rental car roadside assistance people to come find me and I had to call Victor and he and the others had to triangulate my position so they could come find me and so I could call the rental company back to have them rescue me.

But other than that, it was great!

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Geez, Kristin, look up. Is that black cloud over your head drizzling on anybody else, or is it somehow tethered to you? Poor dear. At least you got there, finally.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

It was indeed drizzling on her head during all this. In fact, the rain was so bad at times that I totally missed the 10A exit on the Pike and had to go all the way to Sturbridge before I could get turned around (it's a damn long stretch between Exit 10 and Exit 9), which added a good 20 miles to my journey.

Strangely enough, it only barely drizzled in Worcester while both Kristen and I, in different directions, were dealing with serious amounts of precipitation.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

It was definitely a strange night but fun, once everyone actually was able to get to Victor's and relax.

Hey, if Puppycat thinks me falling down is hysterical, who am I to argue?
She thinks sneezing is hilarious. And frightening. Obviously gravity is made of the majicks.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

So I'm visiting the US in August/September,

phooey! What is with you coming into the country just as I'm leaving?

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Have Midwestistas all heard of Megabus? It started up fairly recently with routes between Chicago and Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Indy, Cincinnati, St. Louis, Detroit, maybe a couple of others. And it is cheap. I just bought a ticket for Thursday between Chicago and Milwaukee for $5. The return, because it's more than a week away, is $3. My friend C took it last week and said it was comfortable, clean, and on-time.

Cass, I would still like to take a brief jaunt to Portland sometime soon(ish)--maybe a solo two-day trip or something. Would I be able to crash with you so you could show me your fair city then?

No definite plans yet--just something I was pondering.

Absolutely. Mi casa es .... well, still mi casa but you are quite invited to come stay for a couple of days.

[edit: Eh, I hate when "tone" doesn't carry across right. What I meant to say, it would be lovely to have you here for a couple of days and I am even getting to be a decent tour guide.]

Are you having any ideas of when soon-ish might be?
