Hard to say -- Mem Day weekend this year was sunny and hot (high 80's), but the past couple days have been cold and rainy.
True, but the famous hell heat is generally August and can bleed into July and September. August is when you can't get a shrink though -- if you're crazy you'd better be in the Hamptons. (heh, I've heard it joked more than once that if the terrorists knew ANYTHING about New Yorkers they'd have hit us two weeks earlier. We'd have been utterly helpless.)

Hmm. Aims, how's parking around the hotel? I just called the Westin and guest parking is $25/day, but I've found a rental car for 11 bucks a day, which I could totally cover myself. The parking is what's going to kill me, because I won't be able to expense it.

Regrading dates for next year, I can tell you one weekend that is RIGHT OUT for me. The weekend of June 22-24 2007 is when we are running Conterpoint 2007(the DC incarnation of the east coast filk con), so please avoid that weekend. (I will be mighty pissed off if the F2F is on my own fucking coast and I can't attend)
Non-annual-F2F side notes/questions:
1. Jilli, Pete, and Cass--we're looking at doing our northward travel during the last week of July--somewhere around the 23rd-30th. Would any time in that week work for you? We'd probably reach Portland around the 23rd/24th and stay a couple days (with Cass?) and then reach Seattle around the 26th and stay a couple of days (in a hotel). Would that be doable?
2. Maria, sorella, there's just one problem...it's looking more and more like I'll be in CT when you're in LA. I don't know when I'm leaving yet, but I think it will be right when you get here.
