Kate, I just got your VM this a.m.! I had the ringer turned off on my phone left over from going to see X3 Sat. night. Dang it.
Now I'm off to an all-day Dr. Who fest. Good times.
'Never Leave Me'

I have downloaded both the vids.
I cannot watch either of the vids.
Why is this?
weeps
I wish all the vidders would put their stuff on YouTube. If this were LJ, I'd be using my "It's all about me" icon, right now. And it would be fg.
Which form of Jessica's vid did you download, Fay? It makes a difference depending on what type of 'puter you have, Mac or PC. You'll want .avi for Window's based PCs and .mp4 for Mac. I can't remember if she went back later and added the .mov for Quicktime.
Teppy's vid, you'll need Quicktime for. It can be downloaded off the internet if you don't have it on your computer.
eta: Also, right click on the files and then click on Properties. Your computer can block certain files from being played. There's a place to unblock them there, if you need to. It might be set up as part of your security system on your network.

Ah, no. Just a bit too public for me.
Fay, not even the iPod version I posted? (It opens for me in iTunes.) The AVI version is encoded with Cinepak -- should play in Quicktime, VLC, or Winamp. Maybe even WMP, though I haven't tried it.
Tep's is an MP4, and should open in the most recent version of Quicktime.

The .avi extension will open in Quicktime, and is a bit more versatile for Windows users (Cinepak is a very old and common codec, and nearly all video players will come with it). I was also working on a WMV version, but for some reason still can't get more than the first 30 seconds to export that way, which makes no sense at all.]

I was thinking that, too -- maybe some of the people in the vids might not want to be up on YouTube, especially considering some of the pictures.
Guess I haven't figured out just which extensions are opened by what! Thanks for posting that, Jessica. I didn't realize that Quicktime could open so many different formats. Good to know.
This is why I need the "It's all about me" icon.
(I know it's too public. If wishes were horses something something steak.)
Trying to load iTunes onto my laptop.
It says it's loaded, but then it won't open. And following all the 'what to do when it won't open' instructions gets me nowhere.
rassensassenfrassenSTOOPIDWORLD!!!!!
Jessica's vid is fantastic!! Thanks so much!
Teppy's vid is probably fantastic, but I cannot get it to download. At. All. Poopyheads.
