F2F 4: Too Much Candy, Never Enough Mojitos.
Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: Madison, WI from June 20-22 2008! Official website.
OMG.
Don't make me mentally dress Pete in a dress and make him sing and dance!
... too late.
Gosh.
Anyway, I've uploaded as many pictures as Flickr will allow me here. Which, sadly, is very much NOT all of them. Damn it. Even though I skipped lots of them in the hopes of getting some from each day. I have baseball pics and cute pictures of Tickybox which I guess I'll have to wait until June to post. Stupid Flickr.

Still, fwiw, there you go.
There can never be enough pictures of me in a tiara. I continue to be amused.
Hey, I showed up at prom, finally, in two pictures! Good to know. And by the way, this wasn't a plea for reassurance; it was, literally, terror that I was fading out. Invisibility issues of a different sort. Tom has a magic camera, or something.
Best picture in that bunch, to me, is the closeup of erika. Which I swear to god I was kneeling next to her for. Never mind; not important.
Notes:
1. Raq glows. It's scary. She just shines.
2. Toddson had my favourite dress of the night. And Sean's cutie had a killer coat.
3. Tom really caught a lot of good smiles.
4. It may be physically impossible to take a bad picture of smonster.
edit: and there's me, over and out. My work here is done; let me know when the voting for next year begins.
No, Deb. Assuming that you were referring to my pics - the time when you were kneeling next to Erika? With Lillibeth? I took the photo. It's there. You were on the other side of the room at the time I took the closeup.
As to your invisibility issues, I haven't counted, but I think you crop up in pictures about as much as me - maybe a little less, but, dude, you were dashing around ferrying people and organising things and kicking ass. Which we all appreciate enormously, and it's just unfortunate that those of us who were just pretty much sitting on our arses made easier targets for cameras. I'm sure I've already seen more pictures of you than I have of, say, Emily or VW or DX or Matt.
Color me surprised, I had no idea that you were a gamer.
It's a very fetching look on you, I might add.
Computer, RPGs, board games?
Computer. I think the general rule was if Blizzard made it, I played it. Diablo II and Starcraft were my addictions of choice.
Actually "Cass" originally comes from my Diablo II's Assassin named Cassady. My Necromancer was the stronger character though. Except when I had to carefully explain to the very young nephlet why he couldn't play as a character who could
raise the dead.
Kids today...
I played the navigator role for DxH in other games. He'd shoot, I would figure out the tricks/way to survive/puzzles of each level. It was a shocking amount of fun. The Halos and Half Lifes of the spectrum.
I tried with Wing Commander as well, but it turned out to be my insomnia's krytonite and I could never stay awake. The Ambien of its time.
So, you don't have access to Halo 2, then.
No. Sadly. But I may have all of the Halo2 music on my iPod. Including bits that weren't even included in the game.
Heh. A Buffista Frag-Fest via Live would be amazing.
Wouldn't that just be so damn amazing? Scary, but so fun.

I need a new video card. Now. And maybe an XBox.
Raq glows. It's scary. She just shines.
I agree. I couldn't put my finger on it, but she has a Presence.
Lo! I have completed my epic LJ post recapping the weekend! It is, as you would expect, hella long, and full of too much detail in some places and not enough in others. There's only a smattering of good writing. But I spent many hours on it, and my fingers hurt, so give it a go if you're bored. Maybe I say something nice about you!
I am a perfectly capable and canny driver, and I am shocked that you would imply otherwise.
SA, darling, of course you are a perfectly capable and canny driver. You just have a warp drive. Also, the ability to maneuver tricky mountainous terrain while simultaneously composing and text-messaging dirty limericks about PADDYWHACK. If that's not capability, I don't know what is.
I got to dance to "I Want Candy" with Laura Shapiro. Who JZ kept calling, "My best director EVAH!" because (apparently) Laura was/is a theatrical director and JZ was in a play directed by Laura.
Watching Laura Shapiro dance to "I Want Candy" was one of the highlights of prom for me. There was some serious joy there.
Damn! Sports Night! That was the other DVD set I planned to buy.
Fay, if you EVER have Sports Night needs, just come to me. Just ask Kate P. I go to
great lengths
for that show.
In Ick news, I woke up fever-free. Yay! Which means I came into work. Boo! I still can't breathe, and Chloraseptic is my best friend, but I feel light years better. (Actually, I woke up and took my temp and it was 97.1, confirming my suspicions that I go into stasis during the night.)
Don't worry, Pete, that was mostly joking anyway.
Lordy, I feel like I'm just beginning to come out of my coma. Haven't been this gronkified in a while. Jesus.

Hell yes.
Oh, shit, I forgot to put in my post the part where you have awesome hair. I'll go do that right now because I doubt many people have read it yet.

Honestly, that blows me away. I have never, even for a moment, thought of my hair as approaching anything near the level of awesome. My hair and I mutually agree to coexist, and that works for us. So thank you!
