Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Hugs Perkins tight. I still have my local Buffistas. Yes, I do.

No fair! I have no more local-istas!

Maybe once my catalytic converter has been exchanged for one that doesn't make that rattling noise, it's time for an LA roadtrip...

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

No fair! I have no more local-istas!
Whoops. Sorry 'about that.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

hmmm... no ick and yes , tonsils.

but still way too sleepy. not sure when I will fully catch up on sleep now. Have to say this is an area where I envy JZ - at this point her body just say sleep and she does. It won't let her abuse it by not sleeping.

Answer: Move.

I fear the Loomy. It's in the next real city going up from me. I wouldn't possibly have time to escape the Loom of Doom.

'Loomy' & 'Loom of Doom' get you a gold star.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

What about house points? I loved getting house points from Fay.

Fay's comment reminded me to write down the details of the loomage;

Loom #1: As I stepped foot into the HS for the first time, Fay was telling an anecdote. Everyone in the room but Fay saw me enter, and I was able to tell the speaker, with her back to me, was Fay due to her accent. I figured I'd just loom right behind her until she was finished and give her a little shock. Needless to say, when she had finished her tale, stepped back into me, turned and recoiled I wasn't expecting quite the shriek that emitted from Fay.

Loom #2: Fay was out on the terrace telling another tale. I poked my head out and saw that Fay was dressed in a couple of layers of flowing black topped with her new hat. To me, it seemed like she was the summertime Brit equivalent to a Sith lord. I decided to impart this wisdom to her, but as I approached i found I was standing just behind her shoulder again. She finishes her tale, turns, shrieks (lather, rinse, repeat) and much to my surprise then flails after me thumping me a few times. Who would have known Fay could be so violent? I suspect these were the first few steps down the blighted path to Dark!Fay.

Loom #3: Security check at San Francisco airport. Myself, Jilli & Anne W had negotiated the security protocols, but Fay had been taken aside (I think they could detect her slide to the Darkside) and had been subjected to a variety of ignominies including having her bags completely pulled apart. Fay was sitting in a chair with her back to a glass screen on the other side of which were the three of us. She was oblivious to our presence and WE were trying to get her attention to let her know we were here for her. Finally she turned slightly, caught sight of me, and jumped. I wasn't even trying...

Loom #4: After a little bout of Brit v Brit sarcasm at the House O'Reason, Fay was finishing up her make-up in the bathroom, I used the proximity of the stairs to gain some extra height and get a little extra loom leverage for when she open the door. Quick shriek as she popped her head out to ask Jilli something, and then Fay decides to leave the door open so I can't do that again. I walk off, double back and just wait the other side of the door. More Fay jumping followed by more Fay applied violence to my poor self. Clearly she had become Dark!Fay by this time.

Fear the Dark!Fay and her black stars. And her Dungeon points.

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

Hmm...

Corb Lund and the Hurtin' Albertans are playing:

6/29-7/4--smithsonian folklife festival in dc (schedule tba)

Hmm...

Oh, btw, smonster, geography check: according to google maps, it is precisely the same number of miles from here to Nashville as it is from here to the town that I was born and raised in in New York. That would be 529 miles. So unless we're planning to drive at SA speeds, flying to Nashville in October may not be unwise. We should discuss when I'm at full brain capacity.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I'm starting to upload pictures.

Here's day one.

I *love* Folklife! I used to go every year.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Hmm... and juliana may be in DC at that time... the Eno may just have to do without us this year.

(did you see there's a video for the truck song on their website?)

That would be 529 miles.

Feh. Looks like tix are a couple hundred bucks.
