Hello, All. Back home safe and sound. First time I've touched a computer since being home, thanks to being down with Buffista Plague (plus an auxiliary, thankfully brief, tangle with a stomach bug). Someone should do a breakdown of what percentage of us got sick. The CDC may need to be notified before the next F2F.

ION: Oakland Airport, right down to the ground it stands on, and every last person working there (with the exception of two kind souls at Gate 10 who took pity and offered a little kindness to a bedraggled and slightly weepy woman) are ON THE LIST. In PERPETUITY. If I had any smiting powers - the horrors I would visit on them!

But I survived! If only barely. Times like these made me wish I did LJ, because some stories need to be recorded for the emotional cleansing.

Anyway, to end on a sunshinier note, because the F2F was brilliant and wonderful, in each and every way (that didn't involve the Oakland airport). At Sunday's Moroccan dinner, Pete called me "Trouble" and Deena called me a "Fluffy Little Thing" and I have decided that these are both to be my new nicknames, and I shall embrace them and hold them close to my heart.

Oh, and Pete, "They put GRONK in the coffee?!?" was moi.
