Fred: It's the pictures in my mind that are getting me. It's like being stuck in a really bad movie with those Clockwork Orange clampy things on my eyeballs. Wesley: Why imagine? Reality's disturbing enough.

You know, we could experiment and cancel football.

I'm not sure it is over. There seems to be this false frenetic optimism about it that doesn't ring true to me. Or I am just too cranky to buy into it. I don't know.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I'm just skeptical of the news media getting an announcment of a legitimate done deal before, say, the actual WGA members that post here.

My experience in unions has been that everyone else always knew everything way before I did.

Yeah, it's not officially over yet. But the entire world seems intent on reporting it is. Hence the oddness.

I'm just skeptical of the news media getting an announcment of a legitimate done deal before, say, the actual WGA members that post here.

Oh, I'm sure it will be in the press before the membership gets notified. That's the way things seem to be done. But I'd expect there would be an official statement to the press by both sides once there's a deal, instead of "unofficial sources close to..."

It is odd. I'm going to cross fingers and toes that it's true (and that the deal is good), though.

I really do hope it's true. I've actually found myself watching One Tree Hill the past two weeks. See what the strike has driven me to?

Oh and you know, my friends and associates would be able to go back to work and all that, too. There's that.

The evil is this way?

So, either the strike has to end or we need to stage an intervention for you?

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I've actually found myself watching One Tree Hill the past two weeks.
OH NOES! It's not just me? I was hoping that I was taking one for the whole team.

I've started watching Lost again.

On a positive note, as I rewatched S1, I was able to pinpoint the episode that led to me giving up on the show the first time. For a long time, the last episode I could remember was Walkabout. Which, it has been pointed out to me, was only the third episode and I knew I must've stuck it out longer than that.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I've started watching Lost again.

Oh noes!

I've been getting through more of my movie queue, watched all of Twin Peaks and I'm almost done with S1 of X-Files.
