If for no other reason than Shawn's father, Bo, isn't really a Brady, but is Victor (not shown on Days unless someone dies) Kiriakis' son.

Or is Marlena a Brady by marriage. Wait, it's coming back -- Marlena was married to Roman, who fell off a cliff and came back as John Black, then remembered that he was Roman, until the original actor decided to come back, then they said that Stefano had brainwashed John into thinking that he was Roman, but now Roman was back and Marlena was all torn because she was in love with John because she thought he was Roman, and the kids had worked it out with the new guy.

And we forgot to add that when Roman came back the next time, he looked and talked exactly like the blue collar construction worker and former Salem resident Chris Kositchek, however everyone in Salem was too polite to say anything. Even Maggie, with whom he had flirted--AS Chris.

As a result of my childhood, I have way too many memory synapses wasted on this show.

Yeah, Marlena was the Salem Stalker a couple years back. She killed all the most beloved members of the cast, and then she was killed, except nobody really died and she didn't really do it. They all woke up in The Village, basically. And then Tony DiMera made a volcano blow up , and then there was a tsunami, and then I lost track for a while.

That was under the same head writer who did the possessed-by-the-devil story. And created Passions. He is my hero.

Barely touched the surface. General Hospital has had some fun plots too. My SIL mocks my soap viewing pleasure and prefers the daytime talk shows. I prefer the wacky that doesn't pretend to be real.

John Black is really the son of Colleen Brady and Stephano's father. Hence the casting mention that started this - Shirley Jones.

Wait, I thought John was Lawrence's brother?? And who's Colleen Brady? That's not Shawn's wife, is it?

she's the mother of the Brady clan. I can't remember her husband's name.

But, if John is the son of Colleen Brady and Stefano DiMeara, that makes him and Roman step brothers?
