That is so fantastic. Yay SAG!
I explained the strike to a labmate yesterday, and also what the studios might be losing or gaining (upfronts, saving money on reality shows, maybe ending some overall deals, etc). I was a little frightened at how much I knew, but was glad to be able to spread the writer-love.
Ok, seriously, I have crocheted four red scarves - so are we still doing more care packages, or did I completely miss the boat on that? If not, I need an address to mail them to. Or should I just donate them somewhere here?
Ok, this may be just me, but a red scarf from Andi would be much more likely to get me to donate than a script. IJS.
Nikke Finke is reporting that United Artists has made a deal with the WGA.
There's no official confirmation yet.
I saw some guff in the press recently saying Tom Cruise is having financial trouble after his taking over of United Artists, so mebbe he doesn't want his studio sat on it's ass for the next year?
I buy it, anyway. It makes perfect sense for UA and it's good for the WGA.

I'd be just as happy to send 'em off to folks here who want them in exchange for a donation...

Why, who is that dapper young man outside NBC Burbank?

And why does he have so many damn words on his sign?
OK I know the answer to A but I need a better picture of the sign to answer B.
And yay, you! for turning up to picket in such narsty weather.
Okay, apparently George Clooney is behind the actors' strike of award shows.
