[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls, The Inside and Drive), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

BTW, I have leftover bags, if anyone (anywhere) wants to do another drop-off.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Tim's getting all the kudos, but toss some love John Gray's way for braving the freeway at rush hour to deliver them.

We're gonna need a bigger Sharpie.

Looks like the KXCD can let Jon Stewart out of the basement- He's coming back on the air with Colbert in January without his writers:

Variety.

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

Tom, I do understand how business works. I did a post here a while ago about exactly the thing you're refering to, so pretty much agree. The current battle with new media is about control. That said, I quite firmly believe the studios can make a profit from hulu.

Trust my rage

(I'm pretty sure that Tom's post was tongue-in-cheek.)

posting on the train is always a bad idea, I need to repeat that to myself more often.

How long does the strike have to go for to effect next seasons series? Pilots in development, that kind of thing.

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

Probably just until January, Kevin. Although, if the strike is resolved very early in the year, they can probably get some new stuff on for next season. Pilots are shot in march and April. The scripts need to be ready well before then.

Thanks, Sean (and Tamara).

I find myself wondering if networks might try and invest more in midseason by pushing shows back to then. It's never been very successful before, but I suppose if the audience are new drama starved it could work.
