[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls, The Inside and Drive), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

Looks like it's not really good for the writers at this point, as far as the WGA is concerned:

Plus! Free flash drive! How big is it?

Half a gig, I think?

PS -- I miss the media blackout.

"I am the all-singing, all-dancing crap of the world"

In other industry news, I just received a package from Warner Bros. containing a flash drive with four screenplays on it for my consideration. It's a pretty nifty idea.

Pardon the clueless man here, but what type of consideration?

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Not Kristen, but "for your consideration" typically means "please vote for us for an industry award".

Writers Guild cool to studios' latest proposal

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I apparently don't understand what the phrase "cool to" means. I was confused because I expected that article to say they've "cooled down" or they "thought the proposal was cool," when I was sure that wasn't the case.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

"Cool with" would mean they thought it was cool; "cool to" means it didn't give them warm fuzzies.

I'm trying hard not to think nasty assholish thoughts toward the studios, but it's very difficult.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

The difference is whether "cool" is used as a verb or an adjective.
