You're using the word "fandom" in ways that confuse me again. How is a connection through fandom distinct from a connection through entertainment?
(I'm re-re-rewriting a report, so I'm in the mood for a conversation about semantics, okay?)
[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls, The Inside and Drive), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

Can you hang on while I roll my eyes at you? And then I'll come back and talk semantics.

I would guess that a connection through entertainment is via more official means (like working with someone in a professional capacity) whereas a connection through fandom is, well...fandom. Unofficial and related to being a fan of a show rather than performing a duty. I can see that there could be places where the line is fuzzy (Allyson organizes an event for people on a show she is a fan of, for instance), but I think in theory, the line is distinct. Especially when you're not talking about people actually in the entertainment business.
Glark hooked me up with the sale price on leftovers.
Glark is awesome! I can't wait to wear my cannon fodder shirt.
Allyson has neither magic nor semantics in her heart. It makes me sad.
In a fit of nostalgia, I was going through email and found this, from about a year ago, when I told my Jericho technical advisor (and I love pretending that everything else he's done in his life is a footnote to helping me mock a horrid TV show) that I was gonna recap Drive:
Whoa, cool! I am extremely jealous. And I'm sure the show will be good and will run for a couple of episodes and then Fox will cancel it and I'll have to download the unaired episodes.
Whoops, I seem to have dripped some Wonderfalls bitterness on this email. Let me clean that up.
But Tim Minear? Nathan Fillion? I'm so there.
If you like I can ask him how the new show's gonna work out. Or maybe I should ask him for stock market tips.
Caught this today:
A lay preacher who bought himself a lordship has been jailed for 10 years for a £51 million VAT scam and stealing from personal injury claimants.
His name was not Preston, but in fact Malcolm.

Harrumph.
Mostly I was trying to figure out how (or if) Glark was a fandom connection.
I thought Glark was connected to TwoP in some way. I could be making that up.
Maybe Glark is a fandom connection (rather than an entertainment connection), because Allyson (presumably) has become acquainted with him through her actions as a fan, and...
Fandom isn't entertainment (except when it is).
(And even then...)
Ah screw it, the whole thing falls apart, doesn't it?
eta...
Jon, Glark is one of the TWoP Heads of Programming (like Sars, Wing, etc.; he's married to Wing).
