I'm so sorry, but if it makes you feel any better, my fun-time-Buffy party night involved watching a robot throw Spike through a window, so if you want to trade... no wait, I wouldn't give up that memory for anything.

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls, The Inside and Drive), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I just heard that a national poll has 63% of the US on WGA's side.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

The 63% isn't even the best part of that poll -- Only 8% support the producers! The rest are unsure. Another poll gives the writers 69% and the producers 4% [link]

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

Hmmm. The news about the deal is cause for hope. And Nikki Fink's been basically right about everything since this whole thing started.

Fingers crossed!

You know, we could experiment and cancel football.

Being back to work before Xmas would be awesome. I just hope that the WGA doesn't back down on any demands from misplaced guilt about out of work BTL folks.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

I hope you are right. Hope these Hollywood mogul have enough integrity to offer the same deal they discussed with the Agents, and are NOT doing the car lot trick. You know, where you are talking to a "third party" (in the car lot not really, in the case of the agents they really are a third party). They get you to come down thinking you are accepting an offer, but really you have changed your position, but the other side has not changed theirs. Unlike a car lot, the agents in this case would be an innocent well intentioned party.

My hope is that movement is real, because pissing off Hollywood agents would not be a smart move on the producers part. And a small cynical voice inside is saying, "for that kind of money, the moguls will live with some new enemies:.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I just heard that a national poll has 63% of the US on WGA's side.

I find it a little hard to believe that 63% of the US is even aware of...well, anything, actually. Though this is about TV, so I suppose anything's possible.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I completely spaced on fed exing the bags to Jesse (I'm so sorry) so they're going out first thing in the morning, and I'll have the dollar amount of the donation to the crew fund soon after.

Kristen has been working on getting me the info needed for the donation, so I can get the check out and processed ASAP.
