And the fans are running over the cliff like lemmings.
I'm not sure what cliff you're referring to. (Unless, as Kevin assumes, you mean the pencil campaign people were gung ho about in the first place.)
When one of your spokespeople is the producer of Lost... No, I'm not mean enough to finish this sentence.

Ah, it has a name! "No Apologies," by Cantinero. You can download the track from their MySpace.
The part that's been entertaining the crap out of me is when people start to explain things to Allyson regarding fan campaigns and how to position things and how they think people will view things, like it's her first time at the rodeo.
Next, I think I'll tell Tim how he should go about killing off characters on Miracle Man and Dollhouse.
It's difficult to explain this without being/appearing to be an arrogant cunt in the been there/done that/actually understands how it all works and actually lives here and knows the issues inside and out department.
And so, I do dishes instead.
As I see it, the issues is that Joss and friends could make themselves look like arses over it. Which I figure they have got to have thought about the other day, because they are not unintelligent people.
Intelligent people are awesome at everything and always think things through to a logical conclusion.
Except not. Which is why intelligent people seek out advice from people who are experts in area where they are not, especially on issues where they're likely to miss the forest for the trees.
I think asking advice AFTER launching the campaign was a mistake.
I wish he had asked me, of course. I really know how to do these things, and do them fairly well.
But he didn't, and I'm a freak who needs to stop inserting herself in these things, I know.
