[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls, The Inside and Drive), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

this week's episode felt extra-Angel-riffic to me.

Because his Ex came back as a human? I went to the Angel place because of that.

Thats where the comparison ended though. This show is so very very bad. And yet I can't stop watching.

It's a really really specific place. Like, say, the size of a box.

I wonder if there's gonna be a box.

Now tagless for your comfort.

They did the same thing with Forever Knight so that's been thoroughly done and redone.

I stopped watching Moonlight when Mick was walking out in the sunlight with his hand held up to his face. Vampires only fear mild sunburn now, instead of bursting into flames? (Or was this explained in the show when I wasn't paying attention?)

I think they explained it. Vampires can't take sustained exposure to sunlight but a little bit won't kill them.

seems to be a theme with this season's tv. "what's in the booooooooooox?!"

Vampires can't take sustained exposure to sunlight but a little bit won't kill them.

right. like, he was stranded in the desert for hours and this caused his body temperature to get too high. the girl he was with(who didn't know he was a vamp) put him in a bath full of ice when they found a motel, but he didn't get better until he fed on a human. apparently blood is the cure-all for this verse of vampires because the only thing that seems to really kill them is being consumed by fire. even that might not have worked on Coraline...

It just makes them feel bad. Nauseous if I interpreted the actor's face correctly. Which is anyone's guess. There was an episode where he was walking through the desert and almost died if it wasn't for the convenient motel ice bath and Beth showing up so he could feed.

ha! ice bath x-post

tiggy, they really need to make the 'twilight' series that you got me hooked on into a tv show. It would be much better.

You know, we could experiment and cancel football.

I am enjoying Moonlight, but I usually watch Blood Ties immediately after so maybe it is helped by the comparison (and the vodka).

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I haven't seen this week's Moonlight yet, but I thought it was pretty Angelrific when the lead guy had to feed on the blonde reporter to save his life. I don't like that vampires can go out in daylight in the Moonlight world, even if it does make them ill.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

If there's a substantial amount left over from the goodie bags for the writers (or, really, any amount at all, large or small), I'm all for donating it to the Actors Fund or anyone else who can pass it along to crews, PAs and anyone else who's collateral damage in the strike. Very, very definitely.
