A friend of mine who delivered granola bars on behalf of
Supernatural
fans said she was bowled over by how appreciative the writers were of the fans. They were so ecstatic to see fan support, to have them join the picket lines, to eat their food. I think all these little things are certainly good for morale, and they're just plain nice anyway.
Besides, we
know
some of these people.
I'll help you with that, Allyson (and by help I mean do nothing but send you some cash).
Allyson, I'd totally chip in to help (money and time if you need it)
Can we sponsor a bag or something? I'm sure we could do more than 25 if Allyson is up for creating them.
Allyson, I think that is a great idea, and I'd chip in.
::points up:: what they said. This is a good idea.
Really? I feel like a heel asking for stuff, lately.
A heel? Woman, you're a saint.
I mean, these are our people! Okay, so Tim and Kristen are, but still. They're like, spiritually our people.
It's an awesome idea.
I would totally put them together and deliver, when Tim is off jury duty so I can make sure they get to both Tim and Kristen on the line.
Afterall this is the random acts of paypal place. I'm short on cash right now but I will definitely be looking to contribute after I get paid on Thursday.
ETA: also I was wondering if writers are striking outside of every major studio. I keep hearing about Burbank and that area and I'm thinking maybe there's writers down at Sony in Culver City who would appreciate a big bag of apples and oranges or the like. Plus it's way closer for me to drive to. By any chance is anyone aware of the existence of a map of strike locations?
Can we sponsor a bag or something?
"First, they got shafted on DVD residuals.
"Next, the producers are trying to preemptively shaft them out of New Media residuals.
"Now, they have to picket in the goddamn rain.
"Won't you buy a writer a poncho?"
*******
Count me in for goodie bag $$, by the way.
