"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

They don't group them into seasons, they group them into arcs.

That almost makes sense.

And sometimes, if they have room left over on the last disc, they'll toss in a completely unrelated non-arc episode, sometimes from a completely different season.

This doesn't.

I've stalled out at the "Dead Dog Records" storyline, because they haven't released those on DVD, even though the next arc has been released.

This makes the kind of sense that is non. Meh.

I still think Roger LoCocco should have had a spin-off. Oh, Roger.

Oh my god, seriously!

The arc thing totally makes sense! They're still consecutive episodes, they're just selling them in half-season sets. It's no different than the Galactica half-seasons sets, except more self-contained.

And the extra ep (that I've seen, anyway) is clearly marked as a bonus episode; they don't just throw it in like it's actually part of that season. DVDs of Magnum (shut up!) do the same thing -- throwing in an episode from a later season as a teaser. Which is how I was able to traumatize some friends by showing them the Sharon Stone 2-parter.

Oo, let's start a rumor that Tim's new thing is the Roger LoCocco show.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Uh-huh. And if you're renting the DVDs and interested in watching the series in order, it's CRAZY. And "Prey for the City" is a stupid name.

But are those one-off eps also in the set for the season they belong in? I've only seen that one set, but I'm not getting why it's confusing.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

It would be like putting everything from "Surprise/Innocence" through "Becoming" in a set, and then throwing in "Checkpoint."

I like this idea and wish to propagate its literature. Somebody go edit the Wikipedia entry for William Russ!

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Apparently, Emma Stone is in Superbad. Huh.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I can't figure out if my eye sight is going, or if the beagles have gotten cuter.

I mean, they look cuter to me.

Art Crawl!!!

Well, they are pretty darn cute. . . I personally couldn't say whether they were cuter. (I think that the last time I saw pictures one of them was still a baby -- beagle puppies are hard to beat for cute.)
