So, the episode they had last night (I didn't watch - it starts too late and ends even later. I checked the credits this morning) was the second episode, "Old Wounds". Yesterday I could only think that they'd either return to the beginning and have the first episode, or just continue and go to the earlier episodes later. I underestimated that channel, of course, and its ability to randomize order of episodes.

I can't even guess what would air tonight, or how long it may take until I get to see the beagles.

In other random TV news, I seem to have just acquired some new channels on my cable. One of which is TNT in HDTV but it seems to be the East Coast feed.

But Tim's X-Files episode with Lili Taylor (which I've never seen) is on and I finally get to see it so I won't bask in the weirdness. Too much.

You're assuming that there's a person there who actually thinks about these things, other than the cleaning lady's kid who has a part-time job for the summer, throwing tapes on the floor and just picking the top of the pile as the current episode. Nobody can tell what sort of lottery process he uses in order to decide on the hour of airing things, though.

It's one of the few episodes of "X Files" that I've taped and re-watched when the show was still running here. I was thrilled to realize who was responsible for it, because, hey, it meant I'm consistent.

I remember the debate you had with yourself on whether or not to obtain the episodes through unofficial means. It seems appropriate that you get to watch the show legitimately after deciding to resist temptation.

As for the what is now turning into a daily report of "guess what episode was on last night": they finished going backwards, and now they've finally showed the first episode.

The interesting question now is, I think, what will happen tonight. Will they continue to the 4th episode? Will they decide to go all jump-and-go-backwards again, and do a 6th episode-then-5th-then-4th? Or - my current favorite guess - will they simply continue going backwards, and go to the original pilot of the show?

Strangely enough, I still didn't get to actually, you know, watch anything. But my loyal VCR is being checked every morning to make sure it did its job faithfully.

Just watched Done the Impossible, and it was fantastic, not that I'm biased by Firefly being my One True Show. However, I did notice with dismay that one of the trivia questions referred to Tim Miner. They got it right in the actual documentary, at least.

Funny, it seems it's difficult for me to type Minear incorrectly even when I'm trying to. I had to retype the above four times to make it Miner.
