I'll just jump in my time machine, go back to the twelfth century, and ask the vampires to postpone their ancient prophesy for a few days while you take in dinner and a show.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Don't get me wrong, I love House. It's just that I don't usually watch reruns unless I didn't see the episode the first time. I guess other people do, though.

I don't watch the re-runs either.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I'm so sorry for the cancellation, Tim and Kristen and fans. I hadn't got the chance to watch the first 2 eps I taped- I think the network did a huge disservice putting the first 3 episodes within 24 hours. I got very confused- I'd read that it was to be on Monday nights, then I saw ads on FOX for it on Sunday (I think while I was watching the Simpsons that very evening) I knew I wasn't going to make it through 2 hours of TV (I was dead tired and wanted to go to bed) so I set the tape up to tape. I didn't realize until it was too late that OMG, there's ANOTHER episode on Monday? But... TWO eps were just on last night, and I won't have time to watch them first and it's too late anyway and, and, and....Didn't get the chance to set up the ole VCR for that one, but I felt sort of instantly fatigued by the sheer number of episodes that I needed to catch up on after such a short period of time.

And... Drive lost me. Even with the being part of this community. Even having posted with Tim and Kristen. Even with the passion here. The scheduling really demanded an instant commitment (it seemed to me) and I think that it was a prelude for the poor ratings that led to this really premature and awful cancellation.

So... I don't know how culpable Joe Q. Public is for the cancellation, considering how difficult FOX made watching it (from my POV anyway, which is likely more predisposed to watching it from the Tim-angle than probably lots of other Joe Q. Public types out there).

When I went through my confusion about the first 3 episodes, I had a sinking feeling right away about its chances, which just sucks.

Bah.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

It's just that I don't usually watch reruns unless I didn't see the episode the first time. I guess other people do, though.

You have to remember that the majority of people aren't like us. They don't have "appointment TV." A lot of the time, reruns are episodes they didn't see the first time.

Because books.

Yeah, I forget that. I guess a lot of people sit down in the evening and just flip channels till they find something they want to watch.

People suck.

I was much more of a channel flipper and repeat watcher when I didn't have the DVR. Now there is almost always something waiting for me to watch.

The people I know in real life, if they do have a Show That They Watch...that's pretty much it. They have one show. Maybe two.

Not, say, twelve or whatever.

Dude, one or two is seriously all I *can* keep up with if I want to work, eat, sleep, do schoolwork, occasionally see my friends, and hang out with my husband. I have 3 right now and it's kind of stressful! (I, however, am willing to admit I may have freaky stress flashpoints)

My lack of a DVR is a major factor as well.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

TVGasm has a story about Drive's cancellation (very short) and they mention a remaining NINE episodes. Where did they get that figure?

Well, there was a thirteen-episode order to begin with.

What is even happening?

I really want to see episodes 5 and 6. I hope FOX puts them on the web. If not, I hope someone bootlegs the puppies, particularly episode 6. Just thought I'd mention.
