[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls, The Inside and Drive), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I get the comparisons people see between Emma Stone and Lindsay Lohan, but I can't help but think that shortchanges Emma.

Huh - I don't think noticing that she looks like Lindsay Lohan says antyhing at all about her acting abilities, but I haven't really been paying attention to fandom outside of this board.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I don't see much beside a resemblance--are people saying anything more? Skank factor aside, Lindsey's not bad to be compared to.

are people saying anything more?
Yeah. They're calling her "Fauxhan" on other boards, and her TWOP thread title is "Poor Man's Lindsay Lohan." Sorry. I should have clarified that it wasn't anyone here. I just say things here because it's cozier.

ETA: I did like, however, someone at TWoP asking if it'd be more accurate to call her the "Sober Man's Lindsay Lohan."

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

Mean Girls is one of my favourite films, like, ever. The Fauxhan thing has annoyed me also, as I think she nails the part -- and critically makes it likable. She looks like somebody who is the moment and enjoying it, rather than some of the actors who are, frankly, just reading the lines.

If I only had a brain...

That's okay; he's got the new car, now with big ol' knife!

The status is NOT quo.

FINALLY caught up with both episodes! I am loving this show and enjoying the premise tremendously. ND and I are both hooked.

Side note, in response to AmyLiz's post about 500 back:

Stupid minor thing, but I love that woman who played the waitress and told Wendy to hide the gun. She's been around forever.
Beth Grant, who was also in "Muffin Buffalo."

Beth is a friend of ND's, and he was totally psyched to see her.

Episode two was worth it just for the "I think I shoulda shot you" line. I fear Wendy.

Really? She's one of my favorite actresses! Loved her in everything from Speed to The Rookie, and have been really glad to see her get more jobs lately.
