It's a real burden being right so often.

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls, The Inside and Drive), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Ohhhh yes. Highways = white dotted and/or solid lines between lanes. Double yellow = other side of the road.

The double yellows are the carpool/commuter lane. So they do go in the same direction but are designated from being normal traffic by the double yellows. It's an LA thing.

At least there's very few solo drivers that we've seen, so using the HOV lanes would be legal!

vanguard of the socialist Hollywood liberal homosexualist agenda

It's an LA thing.

Explains the mountains then too. They came with the lines!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

It's an LA thing.

You mean Florida thing, right??

YES! Which Florida is copying from LA. Along with the mountains....

The funny thing is, the mountains - even though I see them everyday - didn't even hit my peripheral. I guess because I *know* the show wasn't shot in Florida, it was shot here. (Which, I know you all knew , too) and I'm just so darn used to the things that they never even occurred to me.

I love Melanie. I wish I'd gotten a bit more of her back story. We missed the first 20 minutes of the first ep n Sunday night.

I've been told it's available for online viewing at the Fox site, so you coudl possibly catch up that way.

Is TWOP planning to recap?

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Only from a US IP address, IIRC. (Turn-about's fair play -- the BBC iPlayer's only accessible from within the UK, though they keep making noise about releasing an ad-supported ROW version.)

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I wish I'd gotten a bit more of her back story. We missed the first 20 minutes of the first ep n Sunday night.

we see her being rushed into delivery, with the nurse offering to call her husband. She says "no! don't call him. He has meetings on Mondays, don't bother him with this"

Then we see her snuggling the newborn as bigass fruit basket is delivered, nurse/doctor comes in to tell her that her husband is on the way. Discussion ensues as to whether there's any reason that she doesn't feel safe going home. Doc mentions bruising on the backs of her shoulders and thigh. Melanie says it's fine, she'll be more careful, Doc leaves

We hear phone ringing from inside basket.
