The ads I've seen have only been showing the action, not the comedy. The movie itself is brilliant, and gets better on rewatch (much like Shaun.) t /natter

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls, The Inside and Drive), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.
Hot Fuzz is a fantastic movie. It's a little long, but brilliantly directed, funny (in a British way), and just a great send up of buddy cop action movies. It made an insane amount of money in the UK, and deserves every dime.
I'm really worried about the dancing show tonight. Somebody needs to set actual monkeys loose in the studio whilst it's on.
You seriously think that would *hurt* ratings?
Sad about the news, but hopeful for a slow build.
Yeah, I know that works with mini-series, but that is event programming. This is supposed to be a long term series, and you (the schedulers) want three hours of our time in two days?Sometimes it works to suck people in. FOX has done this with 24 a few times, and I've really liked it. You get more exposure to the story, and if it's worth following, want to see more.
Yeah, but 24 is an established series. People making a 3 hour commitment know exactly what they're going to get for it. Not trying to annoy anybody (but I'm sure I am -- I'm annoying myself), but just trying to present the point of view it's a bit odd scheduling -- it only works if you have a big audience from the beginning.
Yeah, but 24 is an established series.
I was gonna say the same thing -- Fox didn't start showing 24 in 3-hour blocks until the 4th season, when it was already a hit.
I'm trying not to pay attention to the ratings talk. There's nothing I can do about it! So I'll just enjoy the show while I've got it which I hope is for quite a long time.
I wish you could Marcie a topic!
Is it Jack and Zoe time, lisa?
I think I have to agree with Cindy on that - Jack and Zoe time. (Assuming they're the adorable, blond twins)
I haven't seen the show yet, and Fox's VOD (or whatever) site doesn't seem to support Vista yet. Boo.
Is it Jack and Zoe time, lisa?
Seriously!
Man, I was so glad Wendy didn't have her real baby with her. I would not have been able to stop worrying enough to enjoy the show.
