Sweetie, we're crooks. If everything were right, we'd be in jail.

The Minearverse 5: Closer to the Earth, Further from the Ax

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls, The Inside and Drive), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

wasn't projecting some sort of latent Bondaduce thoughts out into the world on a whim.

Cause that would be a sign of an id gone amuck. He is manic, but I liked him when he was a radio guy here a few years ago.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

OMG! Drive is ALMOST HERE.

I'm a little excited.

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

Polter Cow is me. I don't think I've been this excited about a show... ever. I'm not sure why, but I am.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

Because it's Tim, it's okay to invest in it if it grabs you, because he won't Abrams himself into a corner, leading to lame.

This is the key for me. The premise doesn't matter so much to me, as long as it's done well. Buffy sounded hugely lame to me, until I saw it. Wonderfalls sounded lame to me, but I gave it a shot because of Tim, and loved it. Firefly sounded kinda lame to me, until I saw it because of Joss, and fell head over heals.

On the other hand, Lost sounded good, and it pissed me off so much that I stopped watching after the first season.

I think this is the first show I've ever known about beforehand for a long time before its premiere. I mean, I read the pilot way back in...July or something. So it's been a while.

The cars! Complete with pictures. None of Danny Bonaduce, though.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

"I wanted something that felt like a car a regular guy would drive," Minear says. The fact that the Taurus is no longer in production was an added touch. "John is a rocket scientist and looks to the future, but he's a little stuck in the past."

The Taurus is going back into production. Actually, Ford is taking the totally new 500 sedan and renaming it the Taurus, as sales of the 500 have been disappointing. I read an article a few weeks ago that stated that even though the name "Taurus" has a more negative than positive association these days, the fact that as a name it's much more well-known than "500" means the name is a valuable asset to Ford.

I disagree. 500 sales sucked because the car looked so boring. (They're gonna spruce it up for the new model year.) But then I'm not a marketing guy....
