Don't worry, I'm not gonna start any sword fights. I'm over that phase.

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls, The Inside and Drive), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

The Lilah/Wes thing was genius. Or at least, very good TV. brenda speakuths the truth.

Here's another truth: there should be 900% more Alexis Denisof on TV.

What is even happening?

Please use spoiler font for new releases until after the weekend following release.
Oh, it seems I remembered the words, but not so much the order. Sorry about that, Jackal. Thanks, Jon. At least it fleshes out the same for today.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

I never took to Fred...

Cindy said what I was trying to say, only much, much better. All of it. Not taking to the character, feeling manipulated in a bad way at her death, appreciating Amy Acker's acting.

Amy Acker is So Very Cute

I've never really gotten this. I mean, she certainly has had her moments; I've seen some lovely photos. But overall, while I appreciated AA's acting, if I were choosing an actress for eye candy, it wouldn't be she. I have found the same thing with others that many have assured me are incredibly attractive, so I've decided it's a quirk of me.

Now Gina Torres, or even CC before St. Cordy...wow.

Hah. Not finding the pretty with CC or Gina myself. I think it's all* in the smile for me.

  • Well, not all.

The status is NOT quo.

Not finding the pretty in CC, okay. But GT?!? Really? Even at the end of Serenity? How is that possible?

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

In Kevin's world, anything is possible. Even flying. Whilst drunk.

I've met Gina, though, and she's a sweet heart.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Characters hanging around for no reason has happened before -- Spike being a good example in season 4 of Buffy (and season 7) (and season 5 in Angel).

For the record, Spike hanging on (and on, and on...) long after any justification for his presence or continued existence had fled? Not that effective in convincing me that the same tactic should be used with other characters. By early 2001 if a television could have conducted sharpened wood into the show's fictional setting I'd have happily sacrificed my 20" Quasar's screen to stake him myself.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I loved Spike. But after a certain point, even I couldn't figure out why he was still there. Except that the fans loved him, and well, that serves something other than the story...

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

OTOH, character-wise, wasn't hanging around long after he was welcome or had a purpose kind of...in character?

Oh, I'm not trying to convince you of anything, Matt the Bruins fan, just demonstrating it was a reoccuring thing. I was kinda hoping by season 7 time somebody was going to call him "The Fonz" in an episode.
