"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Best of luck this year, Kristen! Have you been reading Jane Espenson's blog at all. It is mostly about writing tips geared toward TV writing and the Disney Fellowship. I find it very interesting to read.

The thing about life is :You can rehearse it all you want, But nobody else ever sticks to the script. So why bother?

Oh Kristen you are entering, too? Cool, good luck. Are you doing any other contests like CBS as well?

Kristen - Jun 23, 2006 12:55:10 pm PDT #465 of 10001

Thanks! And yep! Jane's blog is on my daily reading list.

Thanks, Kessie! Did you enter? If so, best of luck!

I'm also going to send it off to Warner Bros. and see if I fare better this year. I didn't submit to CBS or FOX because I couldn't come up with any original samples, that I was happy with, in time.

Thanks.Yep, did enter both CBS and Disney. (And also send something to NBC- they seem to be always accepting stuff) But I don´t get my hopes up. Actually it was Jane´s blog which made me finally submit something. I had written a bunch already but never submitted anything. And now I thought, what the hell, try it!

The FOX one was the one with the Original TV Pilots, right? Well I have written one ages ago with a friend but she doesn´t want to move to the US so it was out of question. And when I saw it, it was already to late to write something new. Don´t know if I´ll do WB , depends on what my money says, cause postage and notary etc cost money and the WB had a fee right?

eta: double post ... sorry

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Good luck, you guys.

Yep, FOX is original pilots only. Plus you need the whole letter of recommendation thing.

I think the Warner Bros. application fee is $35. (It's not due until August.) And then, of course, unlike the other programs, you have to pay to participate if you get in.

And now, I am going to kick back and enjoy the rest of the Billy Wilder marathon I recorded. (Double Indemnity, YAY!) Which leads me to wonder...

You're chucking William Holden?

I will accept that answer as long as you're tossing him in my direction.
