You're wrong about River. River's not on the ship. They didn't want her here, but she couldn't make herself leave. So she melted... Melted away. They didn't know she could do that, but she did.

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls, The Inside and Drive), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I'm not sure it's actually possible for a TV show to get even more ridiculous than it already was.

Did Demian successfully warn you away from ever watching Charmed?

Ha!

Okay, point. Because I have seen some episodes, and they are pretty crazy. But I don't know if even Charmed has as many "This doesn't even make sense in the whacked-out universe this show takes place in!" moments.

To be vaguely on-topic, I've thought about putting a disclaimer on the first Drive recap that says, "Okay, I've met Tim and Kristen, but if I seem nicer about this show it's not because of that. It's because since Angel I've recapped Carnivale and Jericho, and now I know what Deep Hurting really means."

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

We haven't even touched on the insanity of the windmill plot.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

I'm ambivalent on Jericho. Watched a bit, then didn't, then sort of started again. It seems to be against things that I don't love but kind of like and aren't nearly as depressing. Although, after the first bit, the anvils kept the depressing away pretty well. That said, I'm not even a little bit ambivalent about Ginger or Cindy or anyone else who wants to share their juicy brains. Brraaaiiinnnnnnns.

And I'm not even into zombies.

It's not that I'm the only one, it's that I'm the honest one.

Just put up Polter Cow's Wondercon report here.

Thanks again, P-C -- I'll add the images when I can work out how to/get Kevin to.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Ohhh, that's way better than mine. Nice reporting!

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Thanks, Allyson! I took notes.

The crowd do their best Abigail Breslin impersonations, and in New York, Sylar winces.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

And his goal is to make you love every character and want all of them to win.

Damn. And here I was hoping that he'd make me hate some characters and want them to die in a fiery crash.

You know perfectly well that he'll make you love every character and then have them die in a fiery crash.
