Spike: Heard what happened up top, offing your dad and all. Don't know if you know this, but, uh…I killed my mum. Actually, I'd already killed her, and then she tried to shag me, so I had to-- Wesley: Thank you. I'm…very comforted.

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls, The Inside and Drive), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

Totally changing the link back. And then I'm taking a big step back.

And he re-hijacked the link! Wow.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I went to the Drive panel at Wondercon.

Apparently, Nathan Fillion is rather popular.

You know, we could experiment and cancel football.

I never would have guessed, PC.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

x-posted from Natter:

The Drive panel was interesting, and I missed Tim, terribly. He's just excellent at this sort of thing.

Nathan was asked to explain how Drive works. He asked for two volunteers. He said, "I have a friend who just wrote a book. His name is (Allyson forgets name because she was tired). Here's my plane boarding pass."

He ripped the pass in half, and handed each volunteer a half.

"The first person who gets their half of the pass to my friend will get a free autographed copy of the book."

One of the volunteers asked where he could find the guy, puzzled.

Nathan said, "Yes, see, that's Drive. You have to figure it out. Now I have to text my friend to let him know what's going on."

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Nathan said, "Yes, see, that's Drive. You have to figure it out. Now I have to text my friend to let him know what's going on."
Crack might be more linear.

Conveniently, I don't much care about the linear.

Especially not if Tim is steering the crackboat. It's wacky, but it's also a good ride.

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

His bookish friend is PJ Haarsma, I believe. I win at Drive! Or random scary knowledge!

That Error dude has annoyed me. So much so I might actually try to work out how to ban them from DF. It might take me a week, but it'll be worth it.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Saw an exciting preview of TV's hit DRIVE after the Simpsons last night. Very much an ensamble preview - Nathan was in there, but so was Dylan Baker (and lots of other folks I didn't quire recognize; I'm not sure I'd know what Melanie looks like these days, for instance).

It's not that I'm the only one, it's that I'm the honest one.

That Error dude has annoyed me. So much so I might actually try to work out how to ban them from DF. It might take me a week, but it'll be worth it.

Banned him this morning. IP, username and e-mail address. And I'd do it again too.

Oh, thanks! The book is The Softwire, then.

I am drunk, and I lack Jackal to dispense advice to. I shall close the laptop lid soon.
