Yes! I miss Jaye, and I really miss Aaron, but I kinda don't want what we had to be messed with.
I'm strongly in favor of endings. And I always prefer missing something to getting sick of it.
Oh yeah. Which is why I'm perfectly happy with the 13 episodes of it, as well. They worked.
I'd love another season in a world where such would be possible, but as it it's like having Buffy Season 1 as a complete and perfect thing without ever having to descend into the crap that bubbled up in the final seasons.

With you there on the quality of the first three seasons, but I was going for similar episode runs. Buffy season 1 had a fair amount of closure at the end, so if it had been just the initial season it wouldn't have felt incomplete.
I would so love to read that original version of Serenity. Just for the geektasticness. (Well, and also, more Firefly is never bad in my book.)
