The Minearverse 5: Closer to the Earth, Further from the Ax
[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls, The Inside and Drive), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.
Don't ya' go talking about no nonexistent spoons neither.
Hey, I saw a Drive promo with Nathan when we were up in Tahoe.
I don't even like cars that much and I want to watch this show.
I just woke Tim from a nap after 48 hours of writing.
Ooops.
New Drive promo during Prison Break. It's got a song.
Someone's going to end up crashing through the cemetery with the grave of that first victim from "New Girl in Town" and knock her headstone over, aren't they?
I dunno. I was the fourth victim.
Poor noodle. I worry.
I've been catching the promos during 24. I love everything I've read about the show here (the premise, the FABULOUS writing staff), but I find Nathan Fillion so completely unappealing that the promos aren't grabbing me.
I'll still give it a shot, of course, but I hope it's more of an ensemble piece than Fox is making it seem. (So far in the promos I've seen, NF is the only actor on this show with any lines.)
I don't know what to tell you, because everytime I think I have a handle on it all, Tim rewrites, and the pilot is in with the editing gnomes who make everything magically delicious. I think Nathan is the leading man on this as Matthew Fox is the leading man on LOST, but you know, then there's Sawyer.
I feel like on Drive, there's Winston. Holy shit I love Winston. melts
I hope you dig it. I'd miss you in thread if you decided it would be too crazy-making.
I'd probably watch Nathan read the phone book. Knowing writers like Tim and Kristen wrote the phone book makes it even more appealing.
