Yes, it's terribly simple. The good guys are always stalwart and true, the bad guys are easily distinguished by their pointy horns or black hats, and, uh, we always defeat them and save the day. No one ever dies, and everybody lives happily ever after.

Drive promo alerts: So far during X-Men 2, we've had Alex's promo, Rob and Ellie's promo, and an abbreviated version of the "legend" promo that debuted last week.

There may have been others, but a girl's gotta eat, and I was making dinner. I am recording, however, and will backtrack to find out if I missed anything.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Oh, wow! They're really promoting the hell out of it! This is almost SciFi-level exposure (Yes, SciFi, I KNOW The Lost Room is coming. Yes, SciFi, I KNOW The Dresden Files is premiering soon.).

Also during the movie: an extended version of the "legend" promo that aired earlier this week, with new lines from Violet and Corrina.

They showed the extended "legend" twice, along with Alex's promo, Wendy's promo, and Rob and Ellie's promo.

I like the extended "legend" much more than the first one I saw.

Nathan Fillion is very Mal-esque.

Wendy is nothing at all how I imagined her from the script. Maybe I read her wrong, but she generally bugged me, whereas Melanie Lynskey's Wendy is far more endearing. Certain aspects of her character seem to have changed, too.

Rob and Ellie didn't make much of an impression on me on the page, but I'm interested in the Rob and Ellie on the screen. I really like the "Everyone Has a Reason" tack Fox is taking.

I must say, these promos are making me really fucking excited for the show. Is it April yet?

All is well that ends in pizza.

Nathan Fillion is very Mal-esque.

We definitely need to see the rest of the cast of Firefly in cars, then.

Especially AlanTudyk driving with Gina Torres riding shotgun.

I think this might cause me to wet myself.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

If a big guy with a big gun and a funny hat shows up, I'll send Tim a beagle. Bonus beagle if he has a girl's name.

No reason. Really.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

How about a snarky brunette who talks to her dashboard ornaments? Can Tim fit one of those in somewhere?
