The Minearverse 5: Closer to the Earth, Further from the Ax

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls, The Inside and Drive), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

Oh, Topic!Cindy, I know.

I don't actually know what to say about the Spike thing. I'm not going to buy Allyson's book to read her agreeing with me. Let's face it - we don't always have the same point of view about things. If she doesn't make me laugh and be slightly miffed in places, she ain't done her job. If I wanted a book which would be entirely within my beliefs of the world, I'd pick up a blank notepad. (They're under rated).

Life is eternal, Love is immortal, and death is only an illusion.

I was just curious more of WHY it had to be pro/anti Spike in the first place. Did I imagine all the other REAL people and characters in this fandom??? Does Alyson run the most notorious Anti-Spike website somewhere under the cloak of darkness?

Or are they they only crazy ones.

I must admit to enjoying the repeated smack downs and the attempts to back ones wackos up whilel pushing the ' we never come out the basement or see real people fandom agenda".

LOL!

What is even happening?

Oh, Topic!Cindy, I know.
Good, I just wanted to make sure.

Her book isn't about that sort of stuff, really. I don't want to spoil it, but from what I remember of it, it is much more about the real life relationships that form from online relationships, and how real life and the internet are always oozing into each other.

The status is NOT quo.

Hence the word "people" in the title. "Vampire" is used as an adjective, not a noun.

Oh, I'm just going by the sample chapter, which is a bit different in tone. I'm definitely curious about the RL/online relationship stuff, as obviously I've developed a large network of friends from fandom, and moved country because of it, so the observations shall be interesting.

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

24 premiere: "The two-hour sixth-season premiere of 24 scored in the key 18-48 demo with a 6.0 rating/13 share, boosting Fox to a second-place finish for the night, with a 4.7/11 overall (it ran back-to-back Simpsons reruns in the 7-8 slot)."

So that's another bunch'o'millions who've seen Drive promos. If they were paying attention. I'd imagine FOX will be looking for Drive to be close to those numbers.

You know, we could experiment and cancel football.

I would have missed the promo as I was fast forwarding through the commercials if it hadn't been for the very eyecatching red Drive logo thingy which I recognized.

So good for the eye catchiness of it.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

How far into the show was it?

You know, we could experiment and cancel football.

It was pretty early in the first hour.
