I just think you're freakin' out 'cause you have to fight someone prettier than you.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I think it was probably an '84

ETA: It was on the driver's side but not near the floor.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Mom raced in rallies, I don't know what kind of car they drove. That's the kind where you're competing with other teams on a kind of scavenger hunt. She drove and her best friend Mac navigated. He was a cool English dude. I had a crush on him.

Here in New Jersey, it's illegal to pump your own gas. When I first moved here from the South, I couldn't believe there were grown people who didn't know how to pump gas.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

It's not that difficult, though. I mean...you squeeze the handle. The end.

Seriously. A friend of mine joined me for a visit down South and I watched her try to pump gas. She didn't even know to squeeze the handle. I guess if you've never even watched someone do it, it could be baffling.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

"This child is sponsored by Tim Minear"

Kat, add "of TV's hit Drive" and you may have something there.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Whoa. I just Googled Mom's friend, for no reason because I know he's dead, and found he was apparently a designer of rally equipment. Mac Cornforth. That's very cool.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

aurelia, good point. I'll add that into my email proposal.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Mom raced in rallies, I don't know what kind of car they drove. That's the kind where you're competing with other teams on a kind of scavenger hunt. She drove and her best friend Mac navigated. He was a cool English dude. I had a crush on him.

That is so frakkin' cool.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Mom was pretty cool. I think she'd have liked Drive. Anything with cars going real fast, she liked.

Except NASCAR. I think she was more into Cannonball-Run type racing, where you might actually hit someone. Possibly some sublimated anger there.

If I only had a brain...

Do we mean sponsor as in "You can sponsor this child or you can turn the page", sponsor as in "This heartwarming child brought to you by Tim Minear", or sponsor as in N-step program? Because I think the last might be a tad premature.

This moment in bad taste brought to you by me, myself, and I.
