[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls, The Inside and Drive), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

That's just what they do.

I know there are people who really don't like it, and every time I watch it, I continue not to understand.

Yeah, every time I watched it, I would rock back and forth moaning, "I don't understa-a-and."

...Or is that not what you meant?

What is even happening?

I have a total love/hate thing going on with Firefly, and I'm not sure why.

Regardless, the important issues here are:

1. Heroes is made of love.

2. Flip flops go, "Fwp fwp. Fwp Fwp. Fwp fwp."

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

This conversation is starting to sound like one of those children's toys:

"How does the cow go?" "Moooo."

"How does the flip flip go?" "Fwp fwp fwp fwp."

I haven't started to watch Heroes yet, but I'm really looking forward to it. I do think I'm going to have to download from iTunes since I'm pretty sure my Tivo has long since deleted the first half of the season.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Yeah, every time I watched it, I would rock back and forth moaning, "I don't understa-a-and."

In the future, ice cream is ON A STRING. It's very simple, Strega.

I think NBC.com still has all the episodes on their website for free.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I continue to be baffled at anyone who can wear flip-flops (which are still called thongs in my head, but not outside my head, so as not to confuse them with the undergarments, even though the undergarments also cause the same bafflement) without experiencing excruciating foot pain where the slidey bit goes between the toes.

I need to watch the first half of Heroes. I started with Hiros, and haven't bothered to catch up, because this way, I figure I still have at least five episodes before certain characters start to annoy me, based on friends' reactions.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

You develop a callous (is that how that is spelled?) between the toes. Maybe not so useful in the Pacific Northwest, but I would have freaking died without flipflops in the southwest, so I put up with the breaking in period.

Do callouses help with the bone bruise feeling? Because that's what leaves me wincing with the things. They make the space between the toes feel like it's been battered by a Bond baddie. As a kid, I just wore Saltwaters or barefeet, and as an adult, I have an assortment of (I shudder to admit this, but they fit and are comfortable) Birks for hot days.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Plei is totally me wrt flipflops/thongs. I even have the Birks.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

I continue to be baffled at anyone who can wear flip-flops...without experiencing excruciating foot pain where the slidey bit goes between the toes.

Perhaps it is just getting used to them in childhood. I have no callus between my toes, but my big toes are well separated from the rest, and I can't remember flip-flops ever hurting. I tried Tevas once a few years ago, but the band across the base of the toes was painful (which was odd, because they aren't that different from the ones on flip-flops), and the band behind my Achilles tendon hurt even more.
