Fox is promoting that someone will die in the next episode of Standoff, on Oct 31.
That was quick.
[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls, The Inside and Drive), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

Excellent! Let's start the betting pool now!
Hee. Go, Tim Bloodbath Minear.
Head tactical guy. Or maybe that is just wishful thinking. I can't stand that character.
He is a little on the stereotypical side. I mean, I know there's traditionally tactical/negotatior issues but I wish he had something more than just that going for him. I mean, make him sing showtunes or something.
I'm pretty sure that this was written before Tim started working on the show. (At least, I would hope so. I know they said they were behind but...wowza.) But I'm still looking forward to seeing the who/how/why of the death. Hopefully, the first of many.
Showtunes, a gay lover, ballroom dancing... Something to make him a little less of a cartoon character is desperately needed. He makes negotiator chick seem well rounded. Or kill them both. That works too.
I think maybe computer chick is going to get out from behind her computer... for the first and last time. Or maybe, since Tim hasn't been there long, they'll do the stereotypical thing and add a character to kill.
I have no idea why I whitefonted, because it's a complete guess. I have absolutely no idea what they're going to do.
Under the heading of "Some People Juggle Geese," MSN TV has named Rosemarie DeWitt as one of the Fall TV Hotties. My incredulity stems less from RDW herself and more from their explanation:
Even in the midst of tense negotiations on "Standoff," Rosemarie DeWitt manages to stay cool, all while getting in some playful teasing with co-star Ron Livingston.
Happy Birthday, Kristen!
Sorry, it looks like I misinterpreted Fox's promo for Standoff.
Even though they flash SOMEONE DIES on the screen, it was meant to be hypothetical.
Darn.
