From a Zap2it article about Fox changing it's schedule:
In addition, the industry trades are reporting that "Standoff" is shutting down production for 10 days. That extra time will allow new consulting producer Tim Minear ("Angel") to get up to speed ("You see, Tim, they're hostage negotiators and they're sleeping together. There. You're up to speed."). "Standoff" will have its last pre-baseball airing tonight.
Now if someone could just make us believe those two things, or even one of those things, I think the show would be vastly improved.
I suppose I'll watch anything if Tim writes it, but I'm not going to be racing to download previously aired episodes to get the backstory.
I shared the squinty opinion of the pilot ep of Standoff. The second was better. And the third was better by several notches, since it offered Gina more room to play, a juicy bit of backstory fueling some conflict. It could really be a good show with Tim at the helm.
I thought it was getting better, too, Beverly. But last night's ep was...not so good. It was like a really interesting idea gone horribly wrong.
It's still on the dvr, unwatched.
I will live in hope that Tim rescues it.

Yeah, 'cause Tim might kill everyone and start fresh.
No killing of Ron and Gina!
