If the fact that we have a Firefly thread has no bearing on space talk here, what bearing does the fact that we have a sci fi talk have on space talk here?

Here is my motivation: posts in the Most Relevant Thread Possible (MRTP). Stargate talk's MRTP is Boxed Set. Firefly's MRTP is Firefly. Moon Is A Harsh Mistress's MRTP is here, not books or movies or writing or whatever. The end.
There used to be sense in that post. It fled with both editing and a migraine.
As far as I'm concerned, the existence of a Firefly thread has nothing to do with the appropriateness of Firefly talk here. This is as good a place by virtue of the thread description, and, really unless a thread description says otherwise, it's appropriate anywhere.
If future Buffistas can't handle that, they need to go to more perfect worlds.
And then in my mind, I am all, why would there be Firefly discussion anyway. Cause it been off for years and seriously.

That's not the question I asked, though. Buffistawise, the idea of talk of dead shows is pretty much wrapped up in the definition.
