Stargate has been axed. They just had Morena has a reoccuring guest, and made a Firefly cancellation joke in the last episode. Which is, of course, unrelated.

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls, The Inside and Drive), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.
It took me a minute or two to realize who he was.
Who was he? I completely missed him and I watched the most recent episode two nights in a row. ELLSWORTH!!!! NOOOOOOOOO!!!!
Wait, was he the soldier s(n)arking at Bullock ?
Kevin, they also referenced Farscape. Really, totally tempting fate.

I haven't actually seen the episode, but I read a summary of it. The fact they said they'd had their special effects budget cut, so couldn't have CGI to finish act 3 and instead planned to fade to black at the end of the act - and then faded to black - amused me no end.
He was, indeed, Frank!
He was, indeed, Frank!
Damn, I may need to watch it a third time, or at least try to catch that scene. He kinda pinged me as familiar looking, but I was so busy thinking about other things that were going on, I didn't even think to play "Hey it's that guy!"
I fear the cancellation may have been a knee-jerk reaction to 30 seconds of what appeared to be Farscape.

BONNIE HAMMER: Didn't I already cancel this?!? Get me Brad Wright's home phone number!
Does anybody think Ben and Claudia are going to have a tough time finding work in teevee from now on?
Heh. I hope not! They need to stay on my TV for a long, long, time. Hey, Atlantis is a big city...
I doubt Ben's character is transferable without some redundancy, but Vala doesn't have an exact counterpart among the Atlantis ensemble.
