Illyria: Wesley's dead. I'm feeling grief for him. I can't seem to control it. I wish to do more violence. Spike: Well, wishes just happen to be horses today.

'Not Fade Away'

The Minearverse 5: Closer to the Earth, Further from the Ax

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls, The Inside and Drive), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

I like David better. And Bones.

Nip/Tuck never really captured my interest.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I like them both for different reasons. One can be on my left and the other can be on my right.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Cable successful is different, haven't we established that yet?

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

Charmed ran for like, 7 seasons. The showrunners have no reason to think they were doing a crap job since they kept getting renewed.

True. Er, I can't really counter that point as it is the bottom line I suppose.

And yeah, I totally gave my impressions as to why OOG worked, but that's just my feelings.

I still don't understand why - or indeed how - Charmed lasted 7 seasons.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

It lasted because a bunch of people found it entertaining. It was sexy and easy to watch and wish-fulfilmenty.

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

Yes, but there have been many shows like that which didn't stick. I suppose they had the advantage of being on The WB.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

That's why people go to the WB. To see young, sexy, pretty people, not that deep, and for the "wouldn't it be cool..." aspect. So it was a great fit.

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

Also true. So here's a question. What would have happened to Firefly if it went to The WB? I mean, aside from Paris Hilton guest starring.

All is well that ends in pizza.

aside from Paris Hilton guest starring.

As a Reaver victim, please?

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

The Body made me cry. That was it.

The Prom made me cry (in a good way). "I can't breathe, Will".

I Will Remember You is the only Angel that made me cry -- "I felt your heart beat" *sigh*
