How does someone become a programmer writer and NOT know the difference between effect and affect? And why does my job description not include "Smite the stupid ones"? Why?

Take what Rick said, and substitute "SAP" whereever he used "Peoplesoft".
OMG, we switched over to SAP a year ago, and it's still a nightmare.
Finally! I have found the eclectic combination of radio buttons and checkboxes that allows me to report time against subprojects and master projects.
This obviously means that somehow it'll get jacked up on submission, and my manager will have to reject it. But that's next week's issue.
For the first time EVER, timesheet complete week of. I promise to be good this weekend, and finish my status report before start-of-business Monday. Honest. Plus hit the gym at least once, do relevant laundry, clear off TiVo, watch at least one Netflix DVD...and maybe even cook so I'll have stuff to bring for lunch next week.
Honest.

You're turning into msbelle.
I am having an exciting Friday night where I just cleaned out my fridge.
My potential weekend guests are not staying with me, which is good, because I would have had to give them my bed, and I like my bed. But tomorrow we brunch and hang out and whatever.

I... am sometimes confused about which goes where. Or at least, I mindfuck that I am. You know what I do then? Re-write the damned sentence.
I really should do my time breakdown before leaving work. Eh, I'll do it on Monday morning.

I did that Tuesday. Scrubbing Bubbles and then 409 Glass/Surface Cleaner.
I had a life last weekend. That'll have to suffice.

So far, I haven't heard from anybody, anywhere (excepting some VIP managers, who don't have to actually work with it in any meaningful way except to get reports) who thinks it's a good idea.
I did that Tuesday.
I got the husband to do it. Who knew he'd turn out to be useful?
I do not know what SAP is, but PeopleSoft bites, and I hardly use it. It got so bad at my Uni that the faculty senate actually invited the administrative assistants who had to use Peoplesoft to input time for everyone in their department to a faculty senate meeting to talk about it, and then reported the findings to the president. Who didn't seem to care, because they could eliminate people n Payroll. Except now their are people in departments whose entire job is Peoplesoft.
