Now, my boss at my regular job is willing to work something out with me, but I am so tempted to not do it. I mean, why am I the one who is always compromising? They have not compromised one inch about the meeting!
Screw that, Sophia. Even if your boss is willing to work something out, it's still going to be an issue, at least in some people's minds, I'd guess. Why put yourself in that position. (Plus, work-okay or not, it's still going to be a pain in the ass.)

Neat. The only person I know there is an art professor, unless you have a hidden glass blowing hobby, I doubt we know anyone in common.
Jeez, Sophia, that's annoying. I'd refuse to be at those meetings.
See, I have been, but I got really reamed for "not communicating", so I brought it up again. It is better for me to be there, but really, WTF? It makes me feel devlaued as a person and a department. When guest directors are here, they have tried very hard to accomodate me (because it only makes sense) only to be told that the artistic director wants the meetings in the middle of the day only. The bad thing is that I signed a contract when I worked down the hall saying that I would attend these meetings, so really it is up to me to get there. However, all they can do is get rid of me, and I don't really care if they do.
