There's a reason why I immediately start chain-smoking and heading to a bar the moment I leave the mall these days.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Jars, do you wear them tucked into boots? And/or with leg warmers?

Finally, are you old enough to have dressed yourself in the 80s?

These are the key questions. Those Kids Today should be wearing the new styles, but some people go Too Far.

Fashion is so going through a "worst of everything 80's" moment. It's terribly disconcerting, all drop-waisted, polka dot, off the shoulder Flashdance tops and skinny leg jeans.

And ruffles. Lots and lots of ruffles.

I, for one, welcome the return of the polka dot. The rest can stay away.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

I find fashion mystifying. (This is not news.) Luckily, I am also a cheap bastard, so fashion can mystify all it likes and I will spend my money on bicycle fenders.

"We have trust issues." Mylar

Yeah, I went shopping last weekend and came home with nothing for the first time in ever. So much fug right now. Although a couple of weeks ago I did spend way too much money for a teeny tiny denim mini-skirt and a big, studded leather belt. I love that the big, big belts are making a comeback. That is an 80's fashion I can get with.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

No, no I do not. Tucked into boots is the trashy way to wear skinny jeans, imo. Oh God, I'm such a fashion snob, apparently. I do have friends who wear legwarmers, but usually with skirts. I don't think I could get away with them, however. I have been known to wear sweatbands on my wrists though. My bad.

SO not old enough to dress myself in the eighties. Well, maybe towards the end, but that usually ended badly.

Wearing bicycle fenders sounds like some very Avant-Garde fashion.

A $64 toaster? It better go to the store and buy its own bread for that money. (And if it does, I totally want one!)
