See, in my fantasy, when I'm kissing you... you're kissing me. It's okay. I can wait.

and they want me to stay on until the 21st.

You could probably resign yourself to this for $1,000/day.

You, of course, are sorry to disappoint them, but you have so much to do, getting ready for the move.

I'll be telling them that. Because honestly? My attitude won't be worth the extra week to them.

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

Also, I did not bring an iPod today and am earwormed with "Afternoon Delight."

You haven't been gutshot by your uncle lately, have you?

shrift, how did they react to your resignation letter? Because I for one was disappointed not to be able to hear the shrieks of "NOOOOOOOOOOOooooooo!!!!" all the way out here in Chicago.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

You haven't been gutshot by your uncle lately, have you?

Is his uncle a crooked French Canadian? (Doesn't quite fit, but it's what I thought of immediately).

For counter-earwormage, I recommend pondering aurelia's tag. Or crooked French Canadians who were gutshot running gin.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Is his uncle a crooked French Canadian?

And I am now earwormed.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Is his uncle a crooked French Canadian? (Doesn't quite fit, but it's what I thought of immediately).

Yeah, that was the first thing that came to mind....

I managed to get WFMU through our firewall (at 128 kbps!), so all is well in earworm-land....

Well, yeah, but it's a quality earworm. Unlike that other song, the sickly poisonous one.

I think I watched too much TV this weekend. Every time I was surfing past the free Showtime channels, Liza with a Z was on. I'd already taped it on Saturday night, but I just had to stop and watch the other few times as well, so now I'm earwormed with "Son of a Preacher Man" and "Bye Bye Blackbird," complete with Fosse hand movements (which makes it hard to type).
