I gotta say, this is an early enough departure for another Republican to get the financial support before the election. Stepping out of the race and even down altogether is the best move for the party.

I'm trying to remember the name a of girl I went to high school with. It's taken me three-ish weeks to recall her first name (cause it was discussed on b.org earlier, thanks hivemind) and I think I am wrong about her last name and instead thinking of some actress. Why, you might ask? I don't have a single clue. But I am.

Me too.
I just spent an hour doing work for my flatmate. In an effort to avoid doing my own work. And now I'm doing nothing, in an effort to avoid doing my own work.
Well, DeLay won the primary, and he's on the ballot. So, according to what I've read (but can't find, so I can't link), his plan is to declare his DC area pad (in Alexandria, VA) as his legal residence -- which would make him ineligible to run for Congress in TX.
I was skimming, saw the "resigning immediately" reference in DX's post, and immediately thought he was quoting shrift. I was quite delighted with the idea of her leaving her asshats in the lurch, but the demise of DeLay will do.
That'll do, pig. That'll do.
I am very tired. Plus, gravity is extra-strong today, which makes it that much harder to sit up and hold my head up.
Also, I did not bring an iPod today and am earwormed with "Afternoon Delight."
And now I'm doing nothing, in an effort to avoid doing my own work.
People are flailing and screaming for stuff, work is piling up, coworker still out on vacation, and plus I have a sinus headache that's trying to turn into a migraine.
And I'm, like, out of here in two weeks, so.
Ahahaha, and they want me to stay on until the 21st. At this point, I don't think that would a good idea, because I'll be climbing a clocktower.
And I'm, like, out of here in two weeks, so.
So, indeed. I assume you've already calculated exactly how many seconds, minutes and hours you have left? And are counting them down? Because that might help the headache. And the desire to kill. But then again, killing usually sates the desire to kill too. Not that I would ever promote that kind of thing.
Dude, no. If you stayed until the 21st, then on the 19th, they'd want you to stay until the 28th. And the next thing you know, it's a decade later and you are still quitting but there!
