Wash: Little River just gets more colorful by the moment. What'll she do next? Zoe: Either blow us all up or rub soup in our hair. It's a toss-up. Wash: I hope she does the soup thing. It's always a hoot, and we don't all die from it.

What is even happening?

The 24 HSQ was pretty HSQ-y. Like Cass and JenP, I was sending big, loud mental messages to the writers about Aaron. First of all, I didn't want him to get dead (and I'm grateful that McHottie didn't get dead, either. Thank goodness Tim didn't get a job on this show. And second of all (and really, more importantly, given he is Aaron ), I didn't want him to be the HSQ. He is truth, justice and the actual American way, and if they went there, I wasn't ever going to watch their stinky show again.

I think it's cool that it's almost!Nixon, but I too, don't understand the character's motivation, since he's already the chief. I think they can make it great though, because it's loaded with potential, and so it probably will be, but it does feel like an ass pull.

I like to imagine they were going along writing episode by episode, and one day, in the war room, Fury asked, "So, what's the plan?" and they all said, "What is this 'plan' of which you speak?" and then Fury got out a really big fighting axe, took over, and decided to actually plot out the rest of the season.

hip deep in pie

What are you having painted, and won't the painter or at least his fumes, make your head hurt, ita?

Gah, FUCK. But I do want to be here. I can stay on my balcony or something stupid.

It's probably too late, ita, but there are paints on the market that is supposed to be VOC free. [link]

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Me, I was hoping that Robo!Guy was actually on super-duper-double-secret-assignment from the good guys and couldn't break cover even if it meant killing hundreds of people, let alone Jack... but that's just my lingering Peter Weller fascination talking, I suppose.

Frail my heart apart and play me a little Shady Grove

Timelies, Morning Crew!

Skipping ahead to interrupt 24 spoiler talk with a link to pics of Sunday night's storm damage. The building in the second gallery is two blocks from where I'm sitting RIGHT NOW. And... well, I'm not awake. [link]

Friday night was fun, sitting in the cellar of my new place with a flashlight as the sirens were going off and trying to convince the cats to join me. Everyone came out just fine.

Today is a beautiful sunny day, and I'm off to train. Will attempt a catchup after.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Also, did you get anything in the mail recently? If so, you should blame JZ.

I'm outraged. I can't believe the blaming that was going on last night while I was innocently lying around doing crossword puzzles.

Also, I want the entire board to know that I specifically warned Perkins about the item in question; while it's true that I did point it out to her and she wouldn't have gotten it for ita if I hadn't done that, I also told her to think carefully before mailing it. I warned her, I did, that ita would view this as escalation, and that she needed to ponder ita's nature before mailing, and that if she went ahead and escalated matters anyway, I would take no responsibility whatever for the unspeakable horror ita would undoubtedly find for her.

To sum up: Totally Perkins's fault. ita, please take note.

eta: Holy crap, katefate. That's terrifying.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

It's odd how much JZ's "warning" sounds like laughter.

Do not attempt to drag me into this. I refuse to be collateral damage in your insane bacon war.
