Did you hit "reply all" Sophia?
Because that sounds like it deserves a "reply all".

A problem that I'd reported last week has been passed around and it seems they've identified the culprit and...it's been assigned to my officemate.
Way to make me look bright and proactive (I didn't have the tools to poke around the problem so no way I should've known it was a sysadmin issue not something else. But still!)
Did folks see this? [link] A USAF C-5 transport crashed on landing. The C-5 is (I think) slightly larger than a 747. The giant plane broke into three pieces, but there was no fire.
All 17 passengers survived, with some injuries. The picture is just... damn.
Happy Birthday, Tom!
I hope you feel better, soon, JZ.
I expect my ability to post and read Buffistas to go poof any moment, since they usually block the site... Perhaps it's a sop for having to work the Monday after daylight savings time change.
They survived?
Wow.
Are C-5s bigger or smaller than c-130s?
Are C-5s bigger or smaller than c-130s?
Much bigger....
(re: C-5 crash) Holy mother....
Wow. V. lucky that everyone survived. That must have been one hell of a jolt. I've seen a C-5 up close & personal. BIG-ass planes. Huh-yuge.
sheeeeeit -- C-130s are pretty big.
I saw a C-5 flying at low altitude. It gave me one of those "How can anything that big actually fly?" moments....
I hope you feel better, soon, JZ.
The further Hec's hideous and harrowing week from hell recedes into the past, the better I feel.
I'm sorry you're being Peter Principled into management. Resist if at all possible; IME, the people who want and deserve better and are trapped in low or mid-level work are only the second bitterest and most miserable people in any office, but far more bitter and miserable are the people who were fine and happy and productive where they were and got muscled upstairs against their will.
My boss keeps trying to talk me into taking a university-procedures accounting course; I live in fear that someday he'll succeed.
eta: Not looking at tommyrot's link 'cause I know it will flip my shit out. But very very happy that everyone survived.
