Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Bless BBCA and its lovely marathon rerunning.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

HOT.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Federal taxes are done, and I am getting a hell of a lot more back than I thought I would.

Being unemployed for an entire month, then paying a lot to move 650 miles to a lower paying job has its advantages, I guess.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Good LORD. I just got an email from a friend who's thinking about having her birthday party in Red Hook, Brooklyn. I love her, but I can't go there. It's over an hour on the subway for me, and THEN a bus. Fuggedaboudit.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

I can't decide if this was real or an April Fool's production, but it's funny -- in a "They're trying for a Darwin Award" sort of way.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Those are exactly the boots I need, ita.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Speaking of state taxes:

Kathy, I NEVER get a refund from the State of Illinois. Someday I hope to break even, but I usually get pretty close. I'll, most likely, have to write a check to the State for some smallish amount.

I just paid them the smallest amount possible--$1. It was a pain having to fill out the checking account info just to have them do automatic withdrawal for one measly buck, but that's the way the withholding panned out this year. At least the federal refund will be nice (and all going toward my move this month).

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I've been aware Arquette was heading toward the genderswitch for years now. Sadly, as she's (hopefully) gotten more comfortable in her personal life, the acting has suffered a complete loss of subtlety. I thought he was a halfway decent and engaging actor back in the 90s, but everything since 2000 has been a melodramatic caricature of womanhood.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Did everyone* remember to turn their clocks forward?

I know it's a bitch to start, but those nice long evenings more than make up for it IMHO
